One of our first finds was this female Hodgson’s Redstart, which lacks the dark head, orange belly, and blue back of the male, but sports her own orange tail.
This insect-and-berry-eating species is migratory, breeding in parts of Tibet and China in the summer but wintering in the Himalayas, from Myanmar to Nepal and Bhutan.
