It’s a good day when you spot a hummingbird out in the grasslands.
And this Swallow-tailed Hummingbird was a beauty. What a tail!
In fact, that tail is about the same length as…
this little Gilded Hummingbird! It perched for a minute on a nearby fence wire before zipping off.
Nectar neighbors, large and small, but don’t expect them to share!
