Nanday Friday
This stunning small parrot, the Nanday Parakeet, is endemic to South America.
Found in forests and palm stands from southeastern Bolivia and southwestern Brazil to Northern Argentina, the Nanday Parakeet has a diet specializing in palm nuts, though they will eat other nuts, seeds, and fruits.
Apparently, mangoes are high on their favorites list. These two were enjoying quite the feast right outside my room!
