Hooded Parrot

How sweet is this female Hooded Parrot?! Oh, my heart.

She and several other females were foraging seeds at the edge of the park.

Determined to get that flower!

One male — clearly in molt, his head regaining its black feathers — joined the flock in gleaning seeds.

Beauties, all!

But another surprise greeted us…
