Thank you for your concern, Bill, but I take a lot of safety precautions, mostly importantly checking and rechecking the summit weather before I go (I have an appπ). I carry extra layers including rain/wind gear and a bivvy sac if I had to hunker down. Snowshoes and spikes. Plus first aid kit, extra food and water and water purifier, fire starter, map and compass. I also carry a Garmin InReach which I use to check in with my Safety Buddy of the day (set up with them ahead of time), plus it has an SOS feature so I can contact search-and-rescue using satellite service. Some people hike LAF--light and fast; others, ATGATT--all the gear all the time. I am the latter!
I am impressed! But EC grads are smart and resourceful. I hope a pocket filled with chocolates is included. π
Thanks! And I wish, but had to give up chocolate 30 years ago (migraines), but carry plenty of other snacks π
This is beautiful! Itβs also potentially dangerous. How do you protect yourself? Do you have cell service should you need it? Bill
