Why subscribe?

Every morning since March 10, 2014, I have sent an email with my nature photos and narrative to several hundred followers. In July 2023, I joined Substack with the name PhotoSynthesis.

Using my photos, I show you the world I wander — its birds, wildlife, plants, and landscapes. And tell you a story — about the species, my adventures, or a bit of both. An offering that ranges from informative to funny, and sometimes contains cliffhangers from one day to the next. A bit of beauty to start your day.

Subscription Options:

Free: Daily email, Post comments, occasional Zoom webinars PS: Let’s Chat with a guest and other subscribers

Yearly Subscriber, $50/yr ($4.17/mo): All of the above.

Founding Member, $100. All of the above plus a dye-infused metal print of one of my photos.

A portion of subscription fees will go to environmental conservation charities in countries I visit that year.
